Band: Bolt Thrower

Bolt Thrower are THE band that has defined themselves and their music as "war metal". The bands has been in existance for over a decade churning out their version of death/grind, some consider them to be one of the founders of grindcore along with the likes of Carcass and Napalm Death. Most fans of the band consider the album "War Master" to be a classic, which in turn spawned an E.P. titled "Cenotaph" which is one of the most head twisting war tracks from the "War Master" album. The band had a pretty stable history for most of it's lifespan, exept for the brief departure of vocalist Karl Willets in the mid 90's and being replaced on tour by former Asphyx/Pestillence growler Martin Van Drunen. Karl ended up returning shortly after and went on to record a few more slabs before finally getting the boot. His replacement, Dave Ingram, of the infamous band Benidiction would take over the vocal chores for their lates release and Drummer Andy Whale would also take leave at this time and would be replaced by Martin Kearns. If your fan of low end guteral Death/Grind metal, and love war anthems...this band will appease your taste for the kill.
