Embracing began as a solid death metal band, and gradually they incorporated more progressive songwriting styles and relied increasingly on clean vocals as well as death growls. I've only heard the samples on their site, and I enjoyed most of them (especially "Name It Tomorrow" and "Stranger"). They do suffer from a somewhat weak production, but the music is quite good. I'm not into much death metal, but this is one band I can recommend.

After "The Dragon Reborn" was released in 2003, the band re-released "I Bear the Burden..." and "Dreams Left Behind" in 2004. They are working on a new album entitled "Neptune" and seeking a label to release it. Hopefully we'll see a 2006 release.
