Hourglass are a local band for me, so it is with shame that I admit I knew nothing of them until someone from thousands of miles away told me about them. Regardless, they are a fine young prog rock/metal band. They focus more on the technical end of the spectrum, with lots of long instrumental passages. The vocals, IMO, have been a perpetual weak point, but each new vocalist is slightly better than the last. I could easily see these guys being signed soon.
In 2006, they had some lineup changes that delayed the finishing of their forthcoming album.
