Band: Celtic Frost

Celtic Frost remains one of the most influential extreme metal bands of all. Along with Bathory and Venom, Celtic Frost laid the foundations for all future death and black metal. All the band's albums up to and including the brilliant 'Into the Pandemonium' are virtually mandatory for all fans of the extreme. Always willing to experiment, Warrior reshaped the band for 'Cold Lake' and added a glam aspect to the sound and image that proved disastrous. This misguided decision destroyed the band's credibility and before long they were no more. Warrior moved on to other projects before Celtic Frost reformed and spent 5 years on the comeback album.
