Band: Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper's contribution to not only metal but to rock music in general cannot be denied. Cooper and his band virtually single-handedly crossed rock music with outrageous theatre and their spectacular stage shows and androgenous personas would be an inspiration for a legion of acts of follow, not the least of which were the likes of Kiss, David Bowie, Motley Crue and Marilyn Manson, among hundreds of others. They were glam, shock rock, metal and even punk before virtually anyone else and Cooper's tours continue to be spectacles to this day. For the first eight albums, Alice Cooper was also the name of the band; the original line-up dissipated after 'Muscle of Love'. The albums since then are Cooper solo albums, although for convenience and in keeping with convention, I've grouped them all here under the one entry.
