Cydonia's first album was nothing to get extremely excited about. It was decent power progish metal in the vein of Labyrinth, but nothing more. Their new disc, The Dark Flower, is a severely improved disc. The melodies are compact and futuristic, and show many influences ranging from thrash to pop to industrial to power and prog. They remind me a bit of Pagan's Mind. Their keyboards and arrangements can be similar at times. Sometimes even the music is reminscent of Soilwork. It's hard to categorize, but it's awesome stuff.
