Suicidal Tendencies was one of the first bands to crossover hardcore with metal; later still they injected a staunch groove element into their sound also. Muir broke the band up in 1995 for the benefit of Infectious Grooves, whose sound was almost identical, but reformed Suicidals in 1997.
