Band: Trivium

Trivium began as a pretty standard metalcore band, began adding elements of Swedish melodic death metal on Ascendency and by 2006 had shifted towards a thrash style. Good but highly derivative, Trivium is nonetheless still new enough to develop a style of its own and if they can escape the hype machine and not fall victim to commmercial mediocrity they could have a future.
