Band: Braindance

Braindance describe themselves as "progressive darkwave", which might be an apt title were I to know what darkwave is; I would say they are progressive goth metal. Their very unique sound includes the abundant use of movie audio samples (some you'll definitely recognize) interspersed in the music. Their newest release sees some pseudo-techno elements creeping into the music, but it actually works well (let's just hope they don't become the focus of the music later). Both vocalists have great clean voices, and they play off each other very well. A great band; highly recommended.
The long-awaited follow up to Redemption is in the works, tenatively titled "Master of Disguise" and hoping for a late 2006 release.
