Extremely Technical Death from sweden. "We want to confuse the listener" is their motto, and they aren't far off their goal. Musically, they are somewhere in between Spiral Architect, Meshuggah, Death and Pestilence... but there is a subtle Black Metal undertone that runs throughout all of their releases. Vocally, the band has alot in common with underground Black Metal, in other words, the vocals suck, but like other Technical Death bands, the music makes for a totally worthwhile and challenging listen. One of the more technical bands out there, they are not just following in someone elses shoes, these guys are one of the most original Technical bands out there, and unlike Martyr, do not follow Death's path, and unlike Spiral Architect, do not follow Watchtowers style. I guess this is what you would get if Dimmu Borgir were overdosed on speed, and were stuck in a room listening to Martyr and Death for days on end... really cool stuff, totally worth the listen.
