Band: Kong

Kong plays an extremely experimental form of progressive metal, one that perhaps best defines what progressive is truly about. All their albums are instrumental, with each one moving further away from their original format. The last album is virtually a techno release with little metal in the sound.

After a 10 year hiatus, Kong reformed with 3 new members and released a new album, What It Seems Is What You Get. The album has been hailed as a fine return to form and sees the band revisiting their early, more metal-based style of compositions, like those in Phlegm and Push Comes to Shove
