Starting as a purely Industrial act, these guys soon turned into Industrial Metal and coined a sound which obviously is one of the main inspirations for other bands of the scene (Rammstein among others). Unfortunately they used more and more rock elements on their later albums, so that it is quite arguably whether their last album "Wahrheit oder Pflicht" is metal at all; the recent singles definitely are not. And after "Augen auf" peaked at #1 in Germany, the chances that they turn back to metal are relatively low.
