Saratoga was formed around 1992. Their first three albums didn't showed up nothing surprisingly. However, in the album 'Vientos de Guerra' they started making a sound of their own. Mainly because of the coming of one of the most outstanding vocalists in the metal scene, Leo "La Bestia" Jimenez.  The release of 'Agotaras' (which is Saratoga spelled backwards) marked their peek and it just blew people's heads off. They finally managed to have a sound of their own, very fresh and unique sounding and just plain excellent, can't describe it. The album 'Clan de la Lucha' showed a more melodic Saratoga while keeping that heavy touch that had 'Agotaras'. And their last album, 'Tierra de Lobos' combines the heaviness of 'Agotaras' and the melodies of 'El Clan de la Lucha' and the result was their best album that showed the maturity of the band.

Saratoga's music is kind of hard to describe, it's not the usual european power metal, yet it has an american power metal touch, its just ... Saratoga. Some asskicking heavy/power metal.  Leo Jimenez left the band in late 2006 after he decided to concentrate in his other band, Stravaganzza.
