Band: Rata Blanca

Formed in 1985, Rata Blanca is probably, if not one of them, the most famous and succesful band coming out of Argentina. While the musicianship is top notch, they have played for over a decade quality melodic hard rock/ heavy metal. Lyrics go from fantasy themes to good ol' rock & roll.

Some lineup changes seemed to affect the band and their fanbase in the mid nineties and that lead to one of their weakest efforts (Rata Blanca VII) and that caused the band to split up in 1998. Guitarist Walter Giardino formed a new band (Walter Guardino Temple)along with singer Adrián Barilari and other Rata Blanca members but didn't have much success. Then, Giardino performed in some Rata Blanca shows and decided to join the band again, so the band regrouped in 2000.
