Michael Kiske rose to popularity as the singer with Helloween in the mid-80s, joining in time to record "Keeper of the Seven Keys Pt. 1" and therefore helping to establish the band's signature sound. Since leaving Helloween in the early 90s, Kiske has released a string of solo albums and contributed to various metal operas while gradually moving away from the metal sphere towards melodic AOR.
