Band: Liv Kristine

The beautiful Liv Kristine isn't a new comer in the metal scene. Mostly remember for her excellent job in Theatre of Tragedy, and in her recent new band along his husband (Alex Krull from Atrocity), Leave's Eyes.

Her solo project has nothing to do with metal, and no, this isn't another goth band. Instead, Liv gives us a heavy dose of pop music. That's right, Liv Kristine is your new favorite pop diva. It has its moments where the atmospheric ambient of Leave's Eyes or the dance beats in ToT comes to mind, but overall, it's nowhere near that, not even a little. With enchanting melodies, soft ballads, pop-rock songs (most of the 2nd album), as well as the ocassional dance poppy song and her captivating voice, makes her solo project a fresh listen to metal fans and non-metal fans. Btw, both albums are great, specially "Enter My Religion".
