Mechanical Poet are the metal equivalent of The Brothers Grimm, playing music with a dark fairy tale sort of theme going on. Musically, they remind me of a less aggressive and bombastic Ram-Zet, with some power metal touches. Unlike Ram-Zet, they don't use growls or female vocals, and there's much heavier use of orchestration and keys.

They used to be called Glazemaker, but I have yet to find much info about them during that time.

Their new album is much more straightforward than their former output.  It still has elements of their signature sound, but less eclectic.
