Band: Heir Apparent

A prog. metal band formed in 1983 under the name Sapien, that later changed their name to Nemesis and a few months later to Heir Apparent. They released an excellent debut and an even better second album, actually one of my all time favourites, before disbanding in late 1989. The second album sounds very different from the first one, mainly due the inclusion of keyboards and the change of the lead singer, who sounds just like John Arch.
In 1999, guitarrist Terry Gorle reformed the band with a different line-up and said they were working on a new album for a 2002-2003 release that never materialized, though he managed to re-release all their original albums remastered, including Triad, a demo session previously only available on tape.
