Villain didn't get too much exposure since they were from the Bay Area in California during the thrash explosion, and because they didn't play thrash . The band started as a cover band in 1984, formed by Leon Smith. After releasing 'Only Time Will Tell', the band splitup because of problems between management, label and artist. Their music was more into the speed/ heavy metal sound (with a hardrock touch)featuring the voice of Carl Albert after him leaving the band 'Ruffians' in 1985, mostly known for his work in 'Vicious Rumors'.
Carl Albert died in a car accident on April 22, 1995.
