Band: Tyrant (US)

Status:
Tyrant was a traditional power/heavy metal band formed in 1978 by Greg May when he was attending high school, but it wasn't until 1982 that he got serious about it and recruited the line up that would record "Battle of Armageddon", a song that appeared in Metal Blade's Metal Massacre III and led to a recording contract with Metal Blade Records. They had a long period of studio recording inactivity due to disagreements and legal battles with their label until Germany's Art of Music took them under their wing in 1996. New songs were being written for a 98-99 release that never materialized.
