Band: Kublai Khan

Greg Handevidt was part of Megadeth for three or four months and recorded one demo with them, but he had a different vision of where he wanted to go musically, so he left Megadeth, moved back home and started writing music on his own. Wanting to form a new band, he answered an ad in a music store put out by a guy called Kevin Idso. Soon afterwards the two started jamming together and this was the beginning of Kublai Khan. Musically, their only release sits somewhere between early Metallica and Megadeth albums but it's individual enough not to be classed as a clone. Unfortunately, they disbanded two years later citing inner conflicts and problems with management.
In 2003 they resurfaced with a new line-up, re-released Annihilation and also announced they were starting pre production for a new album.
