Formed in 2000 by former Spiral Architect guitarist Kaj Gornitzka and bassist Erik Aadland, Twisted Into Form play a brand of technical metal with a significant jazz fusion influence. Not too far removed from Spiral Architect's sound, but not exactly the same either. The band spent the next four years recruiting additional members, writing, and rehearsing material for their debut. They opted not to record a demo so they could focus all attention on getting an excellent debut album out the door. It took an additional 2 years to record and mix, but it is finally released in Sept 2006, through Sensory Records.
Fans of technical metal have a new player on the scene, and from what I've heard, a very welcome addition, indeed.
