Giant Squid play a brand of atmospheric doom, somewhat similar to newer Neurosis. They recorded a self-released debut in 2004, got signed to The End Records, and re-recorded the album for a 2006 release. They've had some trouble keeping band members, but they're optimistic that the current lineup will stay together for quite a while.
