Band: Asgaroth

Asgaroth was started as a solo project by Daniel in 1995 who will be joined by Chris soon after. In 1996 the duo released a mini cd and set out to find a drummer to record their first album. After several line up and label problems they returned in 2001 with a new album, a more mature and personal record that secured them a contract with Peaceville Records. Musically, they play a sort of blackened melodic death metal, very keyboard-oriented, but not weighed down by them. Their approach to music is somewhat similar to Dark Tranquillity's in that the keyboards are not just there to create an atmosphere and fill the background, but they are actually another instrument in the band. Highly recomended.
