Indorphine should be lumped in with Dillinger Escape Plan, Sikth, Ion Dissonance and their ilk, in that they play spastic metallic music with some hardcore influence. Indorphine isn't as frenetic or good as the aforementioned bands, but they do have some cool moments. Unfortunately, they have too many boring nu-metallish moments and occasional use of rap style vocals, which I personally loathe. If they dropped the nu-metal elements and stuck with the spastic, weird stuff, I'd like them more.
