Self-described as "tweaked-out atonal jazz thrash", MiRthkon basically play a combination of zeuhl, jazz, and metal. If you took Happy Family, Doctor Nerve, and maybe Actual Time for the metal component, and mixed them all together you'd have miRthkon. Metal guitars, techy bass, and jazz woodwinds and horns. It's quite an interesting combination, and quite expertly played. I'm loving this band.
While the majority of the music is instrumental, there are some "vocals" in a few places (not actual lyrics, but singing). Most of the older material is solo material composed and performed by Scharold, and according to him, it consists mostly of "solo guitar pieces, orchestra music, chamber music, live recordings of one-off bands".
