Decapitated is one the best technical death metal acts in circulation, which is not a bad recommendation for a bunch of guys barely into their 20s. With hints of the likes of technical masters like Death and Morbid Angel but with its own unique twist, Nihility is about as perfect an album of this style as can be found. While The Negation was somewhat more generic and therefore a let down, this band is really recommended.
In late October 2007, their tour bus smashed into a truck in Gomel, Belarus, resulting in drummer Vitek and singer Covan being taken to the hospital with serious head injuries. On November 2, Vitek succombed to those injuries, dying at the age of 23. So far, Covan seems to be pulling through.
