Band: Thin Lizzy

Thin Lizzy began as Ireland's answer to Cream in 1968, a loud and heavy blues power trio. By the mid-70s they were one of the premier heavy rock bands in the world and Jailbreak and Chinatown are still regarded as some of the best hard rock albums of all time. Phil Lynott passed away from liver failure in January 1986, two years after the band split. Since the mid-90s, Sykes and Gorham have toured with various line-ups but in honour of Lynott's memory have vowed never to record under the Thin Lizzy name.
