Death Thrashers SOUL DEMISE, founded as Inhuman during October of 1993, opened proceedings with the November demo 'Incantations'. The band's inaugural line up incorporated lead vocalist Jürgen "Eumel" Aumann, guitarist Andreas Schuhmeier, bassist Andreas Bradl, second guitarist Martin Werthammer and drummer Andreas Brückelim. Subsequently fresh blood was introduced in the form of former Con-Fushion guitarist Alex Windorfer and ex-Ivory drummer Roland Jahoda. The 'Inners Fears' album of 1996 was supported by a barrage of over 150 live dates that year supporting the likes of Morbid Angel, Sinister, Dying Fetus and Vader amongst others over the next two years. However, a name switch to SOUL DEMISE then occurred and the band re-debuted with the EP 'Farewell To The Flesh' in September of 1998. A further round of touring witnessed opening slots to Krisiun, Deranged and Soilwork.
'Beyond Human Conception' was issued by the Gutter Records label in 2000. A limited edition picture disc vinyl variant was restricted to just 333 copies. Resulting live dates, packaged with Destroyer 666, Decapitated and Immolation culminated in the departure of long standing lead vocalist Jürgen 'Eumel' Aumann to Violation. The band line up then stood at vocalist Thomas Bachmeier, guitarist Andreas Schuhmeier, bass player Andreas Bradl with Roland Jahoda on drums. Subsequently SOUL DEMISE located a new singer in Roman Zimmerhackel. This new incarnation of the band got straight back onto the live circuit acting as guests to Napalm Death. For the 2003 album 'In Vain' SOUL DEMISE signed to the French Season Of Mist label.
The band donated their rendition of 'Forever Blind' to the At The Gates tribute album, 'Slaughterous Souls - A Tribute to At The Gates' released in September 2004 through Drowned Scream Records.
