Band: Demolition Hammer
Location:
Status:
An early death/thrash hybrid, similar to Malevolent Creation or Exhorder. I still fail to understand why Demolition Hammer never received the same or even more recognition than Exhorder, maybe because Pantera never mentioned them as an influence. The amazing "Epidemic of Violence" is clearly their best album with cearly audible thrash metal influences and killer song material. "Time Bomb" was a lot slower and groovier but still a decent record.
In 1992 James Reilly left the band and shortly afterwards Vinny Daze joined him to form a short-lived project called Deviate NY. In March 1996 Vinny passed away, reportedly from globefish poisoning.
