Band: Mötley Crüe
If you like Mötley Crüe, you should also check out: Brides of Destruction
Along with setting new precedents for decadence, Mötley Crüe is the archetype for all sleaze metal bands. From their early days as a street level metal and punk band to massive worldwide heavy metal superstars, Mötley Crüe has enjoyed constant notoriety throughout its career. Excess almost ended the band around Theater of Pain which is a career low point but they bounced back with Dr Feelgood really showing what they were made of. After Neil was fired they decided to get a heavy, dirty edge and the self-titled album is actually one of their best but record company pressure made them re-unite with Neil and experiment with rap- and nu-metal for a while. A massively successful re-union tour more or less continues to the present with a new and surprisingly good album released in 2008.
