Pentagram was the original Sabbath-influenced doom band, known at first as Macabre until 1972, releasing a string of singles before disbanding in 1979. Two members then formed Death Row before reverting to the Pentagram name in 1985. Original guitarist Vince McAllister died in cancer on May 26, 2006, aged 51. Randy Palmer was killed in a car accident on August 8, 2002.
