Old school metal with a new age approach emphasizing memorable guitar melodies. Vocally the band sounds similiar to At the Gates. Musically the band shreds from start to finish. The Absence currently have two records out and are in the studio recording their third album. Their older work is reminiscent of Lamb of God's guitar playing style with solos thrown in.
