Band: Arabesque
Arabesque began life as an instrumental trio that focused on jazz and hard rock. On "Beyond The Veil", their style became much heavier, yet remained instrumental. A very excellent instrumental prog metal disc. Soon after, they decided to incorporate female vocals into their already great sound, hiring Nicole. With here they played live and recorded the "Naked" demo. Nicole took a brief hiatus from the band in 2000, during which time Katja joined to fill her spot. Once Nicole returned, the band decided to carry on with both vocalists, creating a very unique sound which is showcased on the excellent "The Union" album.
The band was in the process of recording a new album as late as early 2005, but have since disappeared. There was some rumor about Joop leaving the band, but I have yet to confirm it.
