Gracepoint's music is excellent progressive metal. They combine gruff mid-range vocals, slap bass, jazz drumming, and thrash guitars into a sound very reminiscent of "The Beyond" (if you've heard them). One of the best independent bands I've heard. While each player is excellent, the bassist really makes the sound what it is. His slap bass stylings really add to the music.
