Band: Technician

While Technician could barely be considered metal, I include them because they definitely have many similarities to technical metal (off-beats and a general odd sound) and they tour with Dysrhythmia commonly. I read a description of Technician as "indie math-rock", which definitely fits. They have a very indie-sound with a focus on odd guitars over a strong groove laid down by the adept rhythm section. The vocals are on the weird side, but IMO they work well in the music. While their unique sound attracts me (I'm really loving this band lately), it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Highly recommended to the adventurous spirits out there.

They seem to be on an extended hiatus, but maybe they'll come around again. I'd sure love to hear some new material from them.
