Ark, for lack of a better term, is a super group consisting of former Vagabond/Ex-Millenium vocalist Jorn Lande, ex-Conception guitarist Tore Ostby, Ynqwie Malmsteen alumni John Macaluso & Mats Olausson and studio bassist Randy Coven. Ark is a band that almost brings a new definition to the word "rock" by combining elements of AOR, progressive, power and gothic metal. The band made some waves with their Self-titled debut album in 2000, but created an even bigger stir at their appearnce at the USA's ProgPower 2.0 festival in Atlanta, Ga. Songs from thier second album "Burn the Sun" dominated many power/progressive rock and metal radio stations across the globe. There music can be taken in any contex and enjoyed by any and all fans of metal. A super group indeed.
