Abraxas was an extraodinary progressive metal band that truly struggled to stay afloat in the late 80's/early 90's for several years and finaly sunk. Sadly this band was ahead of its time and therefore fell to the wayside of the other metal bands coming out at the time. They released a handful of highly acclaimed demos through the mid to late 80's which lead to their official debut album "The Liason" through a Japanese label in '93. Because it took so long to release the album, and through many internal struggles, Abraxas disbanded not too long after. In '98 Limb Music re-released "The Liason" under the name "Tomorrow's World", including new artwork and bonus tracks. In short, this is one band that could have been more if fate had not dealt them such a bad hand of cards. Fans of melodic progressive metal will truly enjoy this band's material.
