Post Mortem was formed on march 22, 1982, in Boston, Massachusetts as a Hardcore/Punk band. Around 1985 some new members joined the band and they became a metal band, but this is a band that could best be described as a hybrid of different styles. Their music alternates between Thrash, Doom and Hardcore with even a few melodic Heavy Metal solos. Their weakest link was always the production/sound on their albums, which is acceptable at best. They did say that all of their material will be re issued at some point but no definite dates were set. They spilt up in 1994.
