After the much publicized Angra split, 3/5 of the band (Andre Matos, Luis Mariutti, and Ricardo Confessori) went on to form Shaman (along with guitarist Hugo Mariutti.) The result sounds much like Angra, although without the trademark dual guitars. The debut 'Ritual' sounds like a second rate Angra... but shows great promise. I'm looking forward to this band branching out and moving away from the 'Angra' sound to find their own voice.
