I discovered Echosilence by doing a "similar bands" search on mp3.com for Aghora. Musically, I can see a lot of similarities. Both are technical and tight, both incorporate a lot of jazz elements into their rhythmic patterns, and both deserve major exposure but don't receive it. Echosilence, however, is an instrumental band. During their early days (before the first demo), they had a female vocalist. After their 2002 demo, they decided to re-introduce female vocals to their sound. So, with 2005's Distant Horizon EP, they are no longer an instrumental band. The music is still great, as are the vocals, but the technicality was toned down a notch.

Fans of technical or jazz-influenced metal should dig Echosilence.
